Another View of a Juvenile in the Nest
I saw these young Yellow-crowned Night-herons testing their wings today. I think they'll be flying soon.

I saw these young Yellow-crowned Night-herons testing their wings today. I think they'll be flying soon.
It looks like there are three juvenile Yellow-crowned Night Herons in the nest, not two as I had originally thought. The nest looks about 75 feet above the ground; I took this picture through my binoculars from across the creek.
Seen this morning in Timber Branch Park. Here's a video of one of the parents:
